Pooyan is an interdisciplinary designer and artist, enrolled in the Master of Design program at Concordia. His research interest focuses on immersive experience design, interactive design, and urban design. In his master’s, he investigates the opportunities of augmented reality for social empowerment and its intersection with counter monumentalism and interactive storytelling. He completed his bachelors in Urban Planning and Design at the University of Tehran in 2017. His final graduation project
suggested a therapeutic greenway design in Tehran with a focus on the engagement of community and nature in public space. During his bachelors, Pooyan voluntarily contributed to international NGOs
promoting sustainable development goals by creating awareness, foster engagements, and taking action on global goals.
